[ Ocelot, meanwhile, tries not to remember that feeling of panic, of helplessness. it's not one he's accustomed to, and not something he's eager to repeat.

[A sound startles Venom as they walk, and it's almost enough for him to summon a ball. But it turns out to be a tiny lizard scurrying through the brush. He sighs as he tries to bury his anxiety quickly.]

And we could use some peace away from this place.

[ Unfortunately for that lizard, Ocelot happens to see it. while he hasn't been one to waste ammo in years, he was still a little on edge from... whatever that was, and far too quickly, he pulls out one of his revolvers and fires, leaving little more than a patch of blood where the lizard once was.

well. it probably had it coming. ]

I've seen worse.

[ nothing beats being attacked by killer hornets when you're twenty and in the middle of a gunfight. ]

[The shooting catches Venom off-guard, and he's trying not to let it get to him. He gasps before he carefully slows his breathing, pretending he wasn't about to jump out of his skin.]

We should be close to the edge of the village. I remember this unusual tree.

[He points to one that has some odd purple markings on the trunk.]

If they believe it. They might just dismiss it as another ill omen about cooperation with Olympia.

[Venom can't help lightly huffing at that, mostly because Ocelot's probably right.]

I suppose we'll have to let them decide whether or not to believe us.
