The quality is absolutely horrible. The USSR is good for many things, but its films are mostly just propaganda.

I always liked how easy it was to tell between the heroes and villains, and even in the darkest movies, they almost always managed to triumph in the end. It's a fantasy, and I'm sure the real American West was nothing like it, but for a kid, it was something worth imagining.
[ a pause ] And there was something about rugged men that I've always found appealing.
[ he figures that it's safe to mention that to this guy. and after all, none of that really matters here, now does it? ]

[Prior Walter may be many things, but rugged would be stretching any of them and he knows it. Not that it seems to phase him: he stretches back in his seat, narrow and delicate, too thin but that serves to accentuate the angles of his face. He does have something very old-movie-star about the way he looks, not to mention his voice: a drawl straight out of something black and white.]
And right after you tell me you're a romantic, no less. I did play cowboys and indians, as a child. I was usually the indian squaw.
[Forgive him, he's not lived to see these things be revealed as offensive.]
Don't sell yourself short just yet. You've got decent enough tastes in movies so far.
[ while he does certainly prefer more masculine men or rather, one man in particular, he certainly isn't going to turn down good conversation. and besides, the man seems to have at least a degree of wit about him.
and if there was one thing he couldn't stand, it was complete idiots.
and, don't worry, he's in the same proverbial boat as Prior. however, he did know an elderly Diné man who he's sure would have a few things to say about that. but like everyone else he knew, Code Talker was still sleeping up on the station. ]
